Egypt is aiming to launch trial operations at the first of four reactors at the country’s first nuclear power plant in the second half of 2027, says Amjad al-Wakeel, chairman of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority.
The four-reactor 4.8GW plant is being built by Russian state firm Rosatom at Dabaa on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast with Russia also providing key funding for the $30bn project. (CONTINUED - 250 WORDS)
