Sudan’s top oil refinery has been “completely destroyed” after the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) conducted airstrikes and dropped “barrel bombs” on the site earlier this week, the rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has claimed in separate statements between 19 and 22 May.
“The [SAF] and its extremist backers from the former regime bombed the Jaili oil refinery today using barrel bombs, completely destroying it,” the office of the RSF’s official spokesperson said on 22 May. (CONTINUED - 679 WORDS)
