Israel’s installed renewable capacity is now safely above 6GW following key start-ups at the start of the year. Although its 7.25GW end-2024 target looks a stretch, further significant gains look set to come online this year.
Key additions so far this year have come from Israeli renewables firm Enlight, which continues to boost its installed capacity in Israel, ending Q1 with 624MW, up four-fold from 153MW at the end of 2021 and a seven-fold increase on the 86MW the firm had installed at the end of 2018.
