*Egypt state firm Egas has launched a tender to import 17 LNG cargoes as it looks to secure supplies for what looks to be a difficult summer. The tender, which closes 25 June, comes as Cairo last week took delivery of the 750mn cfd Hoegh Galleon FSRU which is now moored at Egypt’s Red Sea port of Ain Sukhna (MEES, 14 June).

*Cairo is seeking offers at prices linked to the European TTF gas benchmark for Q3 (July-September) delivery to either the Hoegh Galleon or Jordan’s Energos Eskimo FSRU.
