Egypt’s crude oil output averaged 479,000 b/d for the first five months of 2024, down fractionally on the year-ago figure of 483,000 b/d, and with the May figure bang in line with the year-to-date average there is little sign of an uptick in the latest data.
This is in spite of Egypt signing up to improved contract terms with key upstream players in recent years, terms that all sides have typically flagged up as conducive to higher investment and output. (CONTINUED - 636 WORDS)
