Totsa, the trading arm of France’s TotalEnergies, has completed the move of its gasoline trading and blending operations from Dubai’s Jebel Ali to Fujairah after its contract at Star Energy Advario’s storage facilities at Jebel Ali expired at the end of June. Totsa had used its Jebel Ali tanks to blend equity gasoline volumes from its regional refining stakes; most notably its 37.5% stake in the 460,000 b/d Satorp refinery at Jubail in Saudi Arabia and its 10% stake in two Qatari condensate splitters. Regular shipments of Satorp gasoline to Fujairah will now be commencing.

MEES understands that Totsa is leasing tanks at BPGIC’s storage facility at Fujairah. BPGIC’s terminal has capacity to store 1mn m³ of clean and dirty oil products (6.3mn barrels), and the firm is also developing a third phase storage facility which could add as much as 3.5mn m³ additional capacity. Phase 3 has suffered lengthy delays, but satellite imagery shows that there has been strong progress over the past 18 months. (CONTINUED - 809 WORDS)
