Egypt’s new oil minister Karim Badawi flew into Nicosia on 29 August to meet with his Cypriot counterpart, Energy Minister George Papanastasiou. While both have extensive industry experience and will have brushed shoulders previously, this is the first time the pair have met as respective ministers of their countries.
