Saudi state giant Aramco was the big winner in Egypt’s latest tender to import 20 LNG cargoes over Q4. Aramco’s ATC trading arm will supply six to seven cargoes according to multiple sources. While Aramco does not have domestic LNG production of its own and will need to source cargoes from elsewhere, it has been building its trading arm’s portfolio since 2019.

With Cairo awarding the full 20 cargoes, the other winners with up to three cargoes each were majors BP, TotalEnergies and Shell as well as trading houses Trafigura, Glencore, Gunvor, Vitol and BB Energy as well as the less well-known Hartree and Mex International. (CONTINUED - 646 WORDS)
