Latest Jodi data provide the background to Egypt’s plans to import near record volumes of LNG for Q4 (MEES, 20 September).
Gas consumption was up 569mn cfd month-on-month for July at a 12-month high 6.446bn cfd, with 64% or 4.135bn cfd used in power generation. At the same time output slumped to a seven-year low 4.707mn cfd for a deficit of 1.74bn cfd, surpassing the previous record of 1.30bn cfd hit in August 2016 (see chart 1). (CONTINUED - 231 WORDS)
