Chevron (35%op), Shell (35%) and NewMed Energy (30%) on 30 August submitted “a modified Development and Production Plan [DPP]” for the 3.5tcf Aphrodite field offshore Cyprus.
This move came just seven days after Nicosia notified Chevron and its partners that they were in breach of contract for missing a 7 November 2023 contractual milestone to launch FEED as part of the 2019 field development plan, risking having the license revoked in three months if a compromise is not found (MEES, 30 August).
