Syria’s oil ministry on 20 January issued six tenders for the delivery of over 6mn barrels of crude and oil products to its Mediterranean port of Banias over the coming weeks.

Bids close on 27 January with the submissions then opened by officials the following day. Delivery of two crude cargoes totaling 4.2mn barrels as well as one cargo each of gasoline and diesel is then to be made within 30 days of a contract being signed, with 45 days for a requested LPG cargo (see table).
