Opec agreed on 3 February to reshuffle its list of secondary sources for the first time since 2022. The decision was adopted unanimously during the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee meeting, with the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) and Rystad dropped and Kpler, OilX (owned by Energy Aspects) and ESAI added.
The secondary sources are a group of external organizations whose assessments of Opec+ countries’ monthly crude output are averaged by the organization for use as an independent judge of output. (CONTINUED - 218 WORDS)
