Libya this week announced the launch of a long-awaited bid round for oil and gas exploration, the first in 17 years (MEES, 17 December 2007), with officials hailing the “new era” in the country’s lifeblood sector.
Though officials did not provide details at the launch event on 3 March, NOC had previously said the bid round would cover 22 onshore and offshore concessions across the Murzuq and Ghadames basins, as well as offshore acreage (MEES, 6 December 2024). (CONTINUED - 694 WORDS)
